CASSANDRA RUSH CREATES HER OWN OPPORTUNITIES.

An entrepreneur since childhood (her businesses ran the gamut from snow-shoveling to carnivals), she has now focused her determination and skills to create Sassy Cassy’s, a gorgeous line of calf-fitting boots.

“It’s always been my dream to create an empire and make a difference in the world. In 2007, I was shopping for a pair of boots and became very frustrated,” Rush says. “That was when I had my ‘light bulb moment’, and I knew then it was what I had to do. Now, here I am… designing and manufacturing my own boots!”

With a strong marketing background and a Bachelors Degree in Tourism, Rush brings a wealth of strategic planning experience to the company she helms. Given her decidedly DIY work ethic, it comes as no surprise that she plans to handle much of the import/export processes of her business herself.

“I’ve worked hard for everything I own,” she says. “In order to be successful you must work hard and believe in yourself. As long as you have a dream and a vision for whatever it is in your life, it can come true!”
